1. Who we are
ChurnRX is a retention-intelligence product operated by ChurnRX, Inc., a Utah company (“ChurnRX,” “we,” “our,” or “us”). This Privacy Policy describes how we handle personal information collected through our marketing website at churnrx.com and our application at pmf.churnrx.com (together, the “Services”).
By using the Services you agree to the practices described here. If you do not agree, please do not use the Services.
2. Information we collect
We collect the following categories of information:
- Account information. When you create a ChurnRX account, we collect your name, work email address, company name, and the password you choose. Administrators may also assign you a role, a tier, and access to specific dashboards.
- Customer data you upload. When you use the application, you may upload CSV files containing records about your customers — at minimum a customer identifier, a subscription start date, and a subscription end date. You may optionally include additional segmentation attributes such as plan tier, industry, company size, geography, monthly recurring revenue, and other attributes you choose to provide.
- Usage data. We collect information about how you interact with the Services, including pages visited, features used, the date and time of access, the browser and device you used, and similar telemetry. This information is used to operate and improve the Services.
- Communications. When you contact us by email, via the contact form on this site, or through the Schedule a Consultation page, we collect the information you provide, including your name, email address, employer, and message content.
- Cookies and similar technologies. We use a limited set of first- and third-party cookies and similar technologies, described in Section 5.
3. How we use information
We use the information we collect to:
- Operate, maintain, and improve the Services;
- Perform the analyses you are paying for, including computing your PMF Score, identifying retention factors, and producing the diagnostic outputs shown in the application;
- Send you transactional and operational emails relating to your account, including account approval, account changes, security notices, and product updates;
- Respond to your inquiries and provide customer support;
- With your separate, opt-in consent recorded at signup and governed by our Data Use Agreement, incorporate your uploaded data, in fully anonymized aggregate form only, into the ChurnRX Retention Intelligence Benchmark;
- Detect, prevent, and address fraud, abuse, security incidents, and other harmful or illegal activity;
- Comply with our legal obligations and enforce our agreements.
4. Legal bases for processing
Where applicable, we process personal information on the following legal bases: performance of the contract under which we provide the Services to you; our legitimate interests in operating and improving the Services; your consent (which you may withdraw at any time); and compliance with our legal obligations.
5. Cookies and analytics
We use a limited set of cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember your preferences, and measure aggregate usage of the marketing site. Specifically, we use Google Analytics 4 to measure traffic, session counts, and high-level engagement metrics on churnrx.com. Google Analytics uses cookies and processes information about your browsing in accordance with Google’s Privacy Policy. You can opt out of Google Analytics by installing Google’s opt-out browser add-on.
Most browsers allow you to refuse or delete cookies through your browser settings. If you refuse cookies, some features of the Services may not function correctly.
6. How we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only as described here:
- Service providers (sub-processors). We use a small number of vendors to deliver the Services on our behalf, each bound by contractual confidentiality and data-protection obligations: Vercel (web hosting), Supabase (database, storage, authentication), Resend or Twilio SendGrid (transactional email), Calendly (consultation scheduling), and Google (analytics). A current list of sub-processors is available on request.
- Aggregated, anonymized data. With your separate opt-in consent recorded at signup, your uploaded customer data is incorporated, after removal of identifying fields and aggregation across multiple contributors, into the ChurnRX Retention Intelligence Benchmark. The terms governing that contribution are set out in our Data Use Agreement.
- Legal and safety. We may disclose information when we have a good-faith belief that disclosure is necessary to comply with applicable law, valid legal process, or a lawful government request; to protect the rights, property, or safety of ChurnRX, our customers, or others; or to enforce our terms.
- Business transfers. In the event of a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, sale of assets, or similar transaction, we may transfer information to the successor entity, subject to the protections of this Privacy Policy.
7. Storage, security, and retention
We store account data in a Supabase-hosted PostgreSQL database protected by row-level security. Uploaded CSV files are stored in a private Supabase Storage bucket accessible only to the customer who uploaded them and to ChurnRX personnel with a legitimate operational need. Data is encrypted in transit using TLS and encrypted at rest using industry-standard protocols.
We retain personal information for as long as your account is active and for a reasonable period thereafter to satisfy legal, accounting, and operational obligations. Customer data uploaded to the application is retained while your account is active and deleted within thirty (30) days following account closure, except to the extent that anonymized derivative aggregates have already been incorporated into the ChurnRX Retention Intelligence Benchmark under your Data Use Agreement.
8. Your rights and choices
Subject to applicable law, you have the right to access, correct, delete, or receive a portable copy of your personal information; to object to or restrict certain processing; and to withdraw any consent you have previously given. You may exercise these rights by emailing privacy@churnrx.com. We will respond within thirty (30) days.
You may opt out of contributing data to the Retention Intelligence Benchmark at any time via your account settings; opting out removes your contribution from future benchmark computations.
9. Children
The Services are intended for use by businesses. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under the age of sixteen (16). If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact privacy@churnrx.com and we will delete it.
10. International data transfers
ChurnRX is based in the United States. If you access the Services from outside the United States, information about you may be transferred to, stored in, and processed in the United States and other jurisdictions where our service providers operate. We rely on appropriate transfer mechanisms where required by applicable law.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated by updating the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, by sending you notice through the Services or by email. Your continued use of the Services after a change takes effect constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
12. Governing law
This Privacy Policy is governed by the laws of the State of Utah, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute arising from or relating to this Policy is subject to the jurisdiction and venue provisions of our Terms of Service.
